Registration

1. On line registration is obligatory for all the foreign language courses and exams. Internet
registration is the only possible one (more)

2. In order to log into the system Polish students are required to enter a PESEL into a first box and a
password into a second box. Incoming students (spending at the University of Warsaw less than
one full academic year, e.g. Erasmus students) who do not have PESEL number will receive the
so-called imitation PIN and a password in the International Relations Office.

WHEN YOU GET IT, DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSWORD!
YOU WILL NEED IT TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
DURING THE WHOLE PERIOD OF YOUR STUDY!

3. To register for chosen classes or exams you have to receive “tokens” (virtual points) – even if their number is zero. They are called according to their use: LEK-language courses tokens, EGZ-JO-language exams tokens. There is a maximum number of tokens students may use in each round.
The system aims at avoiding “over-registration”, i.e. does not allow the students to register for too many courses/exams and to reserve places in a number of groups “just in case”.

4. Usually during the first round of registration students may enroll to one course and exam only.
During the next rounds he may enroll to additional courses/activities, provided there are free
places available. If the student has not exceed the amount of his expenses for the round
registration but does not have enough tokens, the system will allow for registration, but will
charge a fee (according to the system price of 1 token). Language courses and language exams
tokens have their real worth in PLN. Students are advised to learn the price before registration
for the fee-payable courses. Detailed information is available in deans/faculties secretary
offices.
